UFM (Ultrafiltration Membranes) are designed to remove solids via size exclusion or sieving, using permeable membrane with pore sizes of 0.2 microns. UFM’s are designed to use standard municipal water pressure (50-80 PSI), and are a suitable replacement for Reverse Osmosis Membranes. UFM’s are not designed to remove significant amounts of dissolved solids.
